“JUNKIE,” is a feature film I directed, starring Christian Kane, Anna Easteden, Eve Mauro, and James Duval. It’s a gritty, drama about drug addiction, salvation, and revenge. THE MIDNIGHT SKY
"THE MIDNIGHT SKY " Tim opens this 2020 American science fiction film directed by George Clooney based on the 2016 novel Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton. The script was written by Mark L. Smith. Clooney plays a leading role in his film, as an aging scientist who must venture across the frigid Arctic Circle to warn off a returning interplanetary spaceship following a global catastrophe on Earth.

EAST OF HOPE STREET
"EAST OF HOPE STREET" is a  teenage Salvadoran refugee living in the US struggles to survive the abuses of home, the inner city, and an overburdened social system.
A 1998 award-winning film drama directed and produced by Nate Thomas. It was executive produced by Tim Russ . The gritty, urban, fact-based story is loosely based on director Nate Thomas's 10 years of experience working as a counselor in a group home for pregnant teens in Los Angeles. Russ plays a role autobiographical of Thomas. The film has been called "timely and provocative" by the Los Angeles Daily News, "an emotional and powerful film" by KCOP-TV, "stark and unflinching" by Backstage, and "a testament to the human spirit" by The Austin Chronicle.

I am also in the process of developing three feature projects:   "PROXIMA 7," (sci-fi),  "LINE 7," (a drama thriller), and a bio-pic called, "BLACK SWALLOW" with Herman Wilkins.
